Description
Built in the early 13th century, the Zytglogge is probably the most well known landmark of Bern, Switzerland. This medieval gem sits at the north end of the Kramgasse, the main thoroughfare of the old town and once functioned as a gate to the city. The 15th Century astronomical clock is a mechanical wonder, equally beautiful on both sides and seen here from the rear. Legend has it that this very clock was influential to the young Albert Einstein and may have helped change the way we think about the universe. I blended textures with my original photgraph of this wonderful old clock to compliment the vintage scene.
